Turkey denounces Homs mosque deadly blast

(MENAFN) Türkiye has strongly condemned a deadly terrorist attack that struck a mosque in the central Syrian city of Homs during Friday prayers, according to official statements.

In a statement, Ankara expressed sympathy for the victims, saying, “We wish Allah’s mercy upon those who lost their lives in the attack, and extend our condolences to the Government and the people of Syria.”

The statement underscored Türkiye’s continued support for Syria, noting that the country persists in its efforts to reinforce “maintain its resolve to strengthen its stability, security, unity, and solidarity despite all provocations.”

The attack targeted the Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib Mosque on Al-Khodari Street in the Wadi al-Dhahab district, leaving six people dead and 21 others wounded.
